Choose Branson will be hosting an event honoring veterans and active duty servicemembers. The event, called “Feed A Hero”, will be held November 7th at 6 p.m. at Branson Center Stage. During the event, each meal purchased will provide a free meal for a military servicemember or veteran. There will also be a silent auction fundraiser to benefit the United Service Organization (USO). All the proceeds from the silent auction will go directly to this non-profit program designed to support and focus on active and veteran military servicemembers and their families.
There will be entertainment throughout the evening, featuring performances from local bands and entertainers. This event is open to the public and all ages are welcome to attend.
Travis Holt, Choose Branson event organizer, stated "We are excited to generate an event that not only raises money for a great organization, but also offers the public a way to give back to in a really personal way."
"We have been flattered by the corporate participation. The USO is a great organization and our goal is to raise $5000 for them through the silent auction and donations. The corporate participation for silent auction items has been wonderful and we feel like we can hit that mark or higher." Travis Holt an event organizer stated,” said Holt.
The silent auction is offering a wide variety of auction items and once in a lifetime experiences, many of which are not normally available for purchase. All funds received in this auction will be donated to the USO. For patrons who can’t attend the event, but would still like to contribute, may do so via Crowd Rise. The United Service Organization seeks to leave a positive impact on the lives of American troops and their families. Millions of times each year, at hundreds of locations around the world, the USO uplifts the spirits of American active duty troops, veteran servicemembers, and their families. As a non-profit, congressionally chartered, private organization, the USO relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporations to support its activities. The USO is not part of the U.S. government, but is recognized by the Department of Defense, Congress and the President of the United States, who serves as Honorary Chairman of the USO.
